FOR CHRONIC ILLNESSES
The International Society for Chronic Illnesses is an effort to unite health care workers from all over the world to improve the quality of life of people with chronic conditions.
To enable people with chronic conditions to focus on their aspirations instead of their illness.
To alleviate the morbidity associated with chronic illnesses through observation, analysis, implementation, and follow-up.
"During my clinical rotations, I was introduced to various obstacles that prevented patients from reaching the ideal state of management of their condition. Poor compliance and adherence to medication and doctor's advice due to lack of funds, undersupply of medicines, indifference to their health condition, lack of knowledge, and inability to travel to a hospital were some of the major issues I noticed. In spite of advancement in healthcare, the wave of financial and quality-of-life crisis brought about by chronic diseases is on the rise. As the global population shifts towards sedentary lifestyle, obesity, and substance and technology addiction along with a surge in ageing population, a collective effort to effectively manage and prevent long-lasting diseases through the International Society for Chronic Illnesses (ISCI) is the need of the hour."
