Lysis of the TB Crisis
Invest to End TB. Save Lives.
Among various chronic illnesses, Tuberculosis (TB) has claimed victims throughout much of known human history. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the focus has been diverted from the fight to curb TB towards fighting SARS-CoV-2. According to WHO, for the first time in over a decade, TB deaths have increased in 2020. Acknowledging the diminishing intensity of anti-TB activities and increasing TB mortality, the International Society for Chronic Illnesses has launched the Lysis of the TB Crisis Program to end the epidemic of Tuberculosis by 2030 in accordance with United Nation's third Sustainable Development Goal (Target 3.3).
